We annually orchestrate diverse Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions in the Darling Downs and South Western Queensland, specifically tailored for rural and regional legal practitioners. Recognising the challenges our members face in commuting to urban centres or engaging in online CPD's that often lack relevance to their regional practice, we strive to bring pertinent and practical content directly to their doorstep, at a fraction of the cost.
Our regional CPD's feature speakers who delve into current topics spanning the core areas of CPD, ensuring the content is not only timely but also directly applicable to the unique challenges faced by regional lawyers. These sessions are hosted in various regional locations, providing convenient access for our members.
The crown jewel of our CPD initiatives is the Annual CPD Conference, an impeccably catered event held amidst the scenic splendour of the Queensland College of Wine & Tourism in Stanthorpe. This conference represents a harmonious blend of professional development and an exquisite setting.
We are committed to fostering a learning environment that not only enriches our members' professional knowledge but also provides an enjoyable and memorable experience in the heart of regional Queensland,

PO Box 924, Toowoomba, Queensland, 4350
DSWQLA respectfully acknowledge the ongoing care and dedication the Jarowair, and Giabal people of the Wakka Wakka Nation devote to their country, air, and waterways with great patience and enduring, unbreakable resilience. We celebrate the stories, culture, and traditions of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations and communities who also work and live on the lands we are privileged to now work and live on. As a legal association we pay specific respect to the law women and law men who for tens of thousands of years have ensured the peace, order and good governance of this place, long before it became known as the Darling Downs.
